One of the best things that happened to me in 2007 is that I met Virginia Crowe! I was seeking a personal trainer, and in my search I came across her website. I was drawn to the fact that she trains people in their homes, and in their surrounding community. In addition, I was pregnant -- feeling lots of aches and pains -- and I was worried about how I would carry, cradle and breastfeed my baby, given that my body seemed to be breaking down. I hired Virginia in my 6th month of pregnancy, and she taught me exercises that helped me to safely build my strength. She is extremely knowledgeable, highly motivating, and an overall incredible person. If you can believe it, I actually look forward to my workouts!!! :-) My baby is now 7 months old, and I am so glad that I have continued to meet with Virginia. She customizes her sessions -- not only to each client, but to where people are in their own journey. What we focus on today is completely different than what we did when we first met. I gained 40 pounds during my pregnancy. And, thanks to Virginia, I have lost those 40 pounds. More importantly, every time we meet I feel inspired to take better care of myself. She is a gem, and if you hire her, I have no doubt that you will be so glad that you did!

I have been training with Virginia Crowe for 3 months and she is an excellent trainer; she is motivating, encouraging and knowledgeable. She always pushes me on to finish my reps or lift a heavier weight when I would have given up long before. Virginia explained the exercises to me, told me which areas I was working and how it would benefit me, constantly ensuring that I was performing them correctly.
Virginia is a sensitive trainer - she has the ability to recognize when you are having a bad day and adapts your programmed accordingly (and puts up with your bad moods!). She is proud of you and the achievements you make and rewards you with praise and encouragement for your progress and effort - which is inspiration enough to push yourself further.
Virginia is always on hand with hints and tips on diet, exercise and health in general. She really enjoys what she does and it shows in her enthusiasm and knowledge, and it's catching - I find myself telling others the information that Virginia tells me.
I would recommend Virginia to anybody who is looking for a Personal Trainer - she is honest and firm, but friendly and easy to get on with and, most importantly, she gets results!

I can honestly tell you that I would still be in front of my TV watching soaps if it wasn't for my husband buying me a gift certificate to train with Virginia! I would have never done that for myself and I think he just got so sick of me complaining about my body while I had my feet up on the couch with a box of bon bons in my hand. I put off calling her for 3 months...I look back and want to kick myself. I missed out on 3 months of fun! SERIOUSLY, I call it fun because Virginia has become a great friend. She is very positive and encouraging but pushes me at the same time. We laugh A LOT because I am so uncoordinated! But I just love my sessions with her. I honestly thought I would stick out the 18 sessions my husband bought me and then move on... NO WAY. I enjoy how creative Virginia is with things and I never know what to expect. My goal with personal training was to lose weight. AND I wanted to lose it fast. Don’t we all? When I started working out with Virginia, I had been couch potatoes for over 5 years. I tried every diet in the book, but nothing worked. I visited my doctor and found that I had borderline high blood pressure. My doctor said I needed to seriously start exercising. Virginia started me out doing cardio and strength routines that were challenging, but really fun. I didn’t notice a lot of weight loss at first, in fact I found I wasn’t losing weight at all, but I noticed that I was shrinking. Virginia explained that I was putting on muscle and muscle weighs more than fat, but it is much smaller. My energy was increasing and at a check up with the doctor, my blood pressure was back to normal. In about 3 months I started noticing the numbers on the scale changing. I became more aware of what I was eating and I loved being active. I only worked out with Virginia for 4 months, because she moved, but I am still exercising and following some really cool routines she designed for me before she left! I am proud to say that I am down to a size 10. I used to be a 16! THANKS VIRGINIA!!!

Virginia is my Stroller Strides instructor. Having had a baby in the middle of May, I was anxious to lose my pregnancy weight and fit back into my old clothes. Working out with her just two days a week, I saw results only after a few weeks! I had more energy throughout the day, zipped up pants I hadn't worn in months, and felt stronger overall. Her workouts were challenging, yet fun! I would leave class with a red face, but feeling very good about myself and how I was starting my day. Virginia is so knowledgeable and experienced. She explained what muscle group we were working and checked my form during each specific exercise. And, no two classes were ever the same! Virginia is a great coach/instructor. She is very motivated and doesn't let you give up. Also, she is very educated on alternative exercises for someone like me who had a sore lower back. Virginia is my personal trainer. I had to fight with my husband to be able to train with her because he thought I could just go to the gym and do it on my own. I tried that route for 3 months. I didn't have anyone to hold me accountable for being there, and I found that I would quit when something started to hurt or I got winded. I finally convinced my husband to let me try personal training. I had never had so much fun during a workout. Virginia met me at the beach. She had a backpack full of small equipment to use. We did drills in the sand, push ups on benches, jumped rope, jogged, walked up hills, ran up stairs.... We were constantly changing what we were doing and before I knew it, time was up. Don't get me wrong, I was sweating, but I never once looked at my watch or felt dread. My husband couldn't believe how happy I was when I got home. I collapsed on the couch that first day, but now my energy has increased dramatically and I am already seeing results. Gyms may be cheaper, but if you are like me and need that extra push, an expert to guide you through the workout, and you want working out to be fun, GO SEE VIRGINIA! Trust me, you won't regret it!

I am so happy! I just stepped on the scale for the first time in 3 months and I have lost 15 lbs!!!!! I know we have been talking about how my jeans are falling off and I have been putting off getting new workout clothes even though my pants fall down during my workouts....oops... but I really couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the scale this morning!!!! I just started working out with Virginia a few months ago. I can already see a difference in my body. I feel stronger, am less stressed and I think I actually like working out! My first session I thought I had made a huge mistake! I thought I was going to die, but Virginia pushed me through the workout with lots of positive reinforcement and to my amazement, I DIDNT DIE! I was sore for the next two days, but I stuck with it. NOW I love the challenge. I would definitely not push myself as hard as she pushes me, so I look at it as a challenge, how much can I do in one hour? I impress myself every time. Dear Virginia, I just wanted to write and let you know how much I enjoy our training sessions. Sure, it's hard to get up for a 7 AM session, but you make that effort more than worth it. You make the classes interesting and exciting by bringing new and different equipment and by varying the format of each of the sessions. I enjoy working on moves that integrate basic ab and weight training with aerobics, pilates, yoga and other methods that would have been unknown to me if it were not for you. I have to say, also, that after years of working out on my own, in classes and with trainers, I am finally getting the kind of results I have been looking for. That is because you listen to your clients. You pay attention to their needs and try to give them what they want. I must say there are days when I wonder if I can make it through the session. It is often tough, but you are always there encouraging me and praising me. It is such a great help to work with a trainer who can gauge how much her client can do in a session. I may be tired at the end of the work-out, but I have yet to experience an injury when working with you (and I'm 58!). Thanks for all of your help over the past year.
